Corporate gifting works best when it feels personal, flexible, and genuinely useful.
For Yobbers, an international recruitment company helping candidates find jobs abroad, that means choosing rewards that match the real moments in their candidates’ journeys.
We spoke with Daan Groen, Finance Lead at Yobbers, about the company’s experience working with Experiencegift, how they use experience-based gift cards in their loyalty program, and why flexibility has been key to making the partnership work.
Q&A: Why Yobbers Chose Experiencegift For Their Loyalty Program
Can you tell us a little about your company and what you do?
D.G.: Yobbers is an international recruitment company. We help people find jobs abroad and support them throughout their journey of moving to and starting their new life in another country.
As part of this, we also have a loyalty program for our candidates. We use this program to reward candidates at different stages of their journey with Yobbers, which is where Experiencegift comes in.
How long have you been working with Experiencegift, and how did you first come across us?
D.G.: We have been working with Experiencegift for around two years now. We found you online when we were looking for a good solution to send gift vouchers to candidates on a relatively large scale.
From the beginning, the communication was very smooth, and you were open to the way we wanted to work. That was important for us, as we needed a solution that could fit into our own processes and remain scalable as we grew.
What made you decide to go with Experiencegift over other options?
D.G.: The flexibility and willingness to think along with us were probably the biggest reasons. You were open to an approach that was not necessarily the standard way of working, which made it much easier for us to integrate the vouchers into our own processes.
On top of that, the wide range of options is a big advantage. We can offer activity vouchers, flight vouchers, and hotel vouchers, which allows us to match the reward to the stage a candidate is at in their journey.
How do your employees or recipients typically respond to receiving an experience-based gift card?
D.G.: Our candidates are always very positive about the vouchers and, based on the feedback we receive, often use them quite quickly.
What works particularly well for us is that we can connect the reward to where they are in their journey. For example, candidates can receive an activity voucher when they are about to move abroad. They can then use it to find something fun to do in the city they are moving to, which is a nice way to help them settle into their new destination.
Later in our loyalty program, they might receive a flight voucher, which they often use to visit friends or family back home. At the highest level, they can receive a hotel voucher, which is more often used for a holiday or a trip.
So the rewards really fit both our international recruitment model and what our candidates actually want.
How would you describe the level of service you’ve received from our team?
D.G.: The service has been great. Communication is always smooth, and the team is easy to reach when we need something.
What we especially appreciate is that you are willing to think along with us and are open to alternative ways of working. That has made the partnership very easy and has been one of the most important factors for us.
Would you recommend Experiencegift to other companies? And if so, why?
D.G.: Absolutely. We would definitely recommend working with Experiencegift.
The vouchers are very well received by our candidates, the range of experiences gives us a lot of flexibility, and the communication with the team is always pleasant and easy. Most importantly for us, Experiencegift is willing to think along with our business and our processes, which makes it a great partner to work with.
Why Experience-Based Rewards Work
Yobbers’ experience shows how corporate gifting can become more meaningful when it is connected to the recipient’s real journey.
For their candidates, an experience-based gift card is not just a reward. It can become part of a major life transition: discovering a new city, visiting loved ones, celebrating a milestone, or planning a well-earned trip.
That is what makes experience-led gifting so valuable for corporate rewards and recognition programs. It gives companies a way to offer something personal without limiting the recipient’s choice.
We’re proud to support Yobbers in building a loyalty program that feels thoughtful, scalable, and genuinely useful to the people receiving it.
