Experiencegift was born from a simple yet powerful idea: making it easier to gift experiences instead of material things. In 2013, entrepreneurs Loes Daniels and Jorik Schröder set out to bring this vision to life, combining their expertise in business, strategy, and growth.
Loes, a graduate of Erasmus University Rotterdam, started her career in management consulting at Deloitte and EY, where she gained deep insights into business strategy. Jorik, who studied economics at Groningen University before earning an MBA from INSEAD, developed his expertise in consulting at Booz & Company before moving into private equity.
Driven by their passion for travel and innovation, they launched Hotelgift, a unique way to gift hotel stays worldwide. What started as a single idea quickly grew into something bigger — Flightgift, Activitygift, and Traingift, each expanding the concept to new experiences. Along the way, Experiencegift has been recognised as one of the fastest-growing companies in EMEA and the Netherlands, proving that experiences truly do make the best gifts.
